Strut
Brace - A strut brace is a rigid device mounted between the
shock towers to provide strength and reduce flex in the
chassis. An upper strut brace allows the suspension to
function as designed by preventing excessive flex that can
adversely affect the function of the springs and shock towers
under extreme cornering loads.
To be truly effective, a
strut brace must be free of any design elements that might
allow flex, such as hinges, joints, or bends. And because it
is mounted relatively high in the chassis and directly over
the front tires it should be as light as possible.
The best strut brace we've
found is designed and manufactured by BMW Motorsport.
Consequently, it is the only strut brace TC Kline Racing
carries. For all E36 BMWs without traction control.
