our history
TC Kline
Racing, Inc. was founded by TC Kline in 1985 in Akron, Ohio. The company
made its racing debut in the Volkswagen Cup Series and quickly made a name
for itself by winning the 1988 ESCORT 12-hour Endurance race (BMW 325iS)
followed by a record-setting streak of four consecutive wins in the
Firestone Firehawk Endurance Series 24-hours of Watkins Glen from 1989–1992.
The team
flourished with continued successes in the Escort Endurance Series and the
Firestone Firehawk Endurance Series culminating in two North American
Touring Car Championships in 1996 and 1997. After winning National
Championships in autocross, club racing, IMSA and the SCCA, TC Kline hung
his driving suit in close reach and focused on building race cars and
developing and managing the team.

The
continuing success of TC Kline racing cars stems from special talent and
ability to set-up and fine tune suspensions. TC Kline is noted for putting
lower powered cars in front simply because they handle so well. By 1999, and
after many requests, TC Kline began manufacturing and offering some of the
specialty products he had developed for his race cars. Today, BMW
enthusiasts can obtain winning components that have been enhanced or
custom-designed by TC Kline Racing. These parts are developed, tested and
refined in competition to ensure each produces a measurable improvement in
performance.
In 2000, TC
Kline Racing entered the SCCA Speedvision World
Challenge Series with drivers Neal Sapp, Mike Fitzgerald, and Shauna Marinus.
Driving BMW 328Ci coupes, Sapp and Fitzgerald each won two races. Sapp
finished second in the season Championship and received the Rookie of the
Year award.
In 2003, TC
Kline is sponsoring and managing a Grand Am Cup
Series team. Tuning BMW's newest sports car for the ST I Class, the TC Kline
Racing
Z4 roadsters
have scored 6 podium finishes including wins at Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio.
